Recurring Rides

Wednesdays 9:00 am B+ 35-50 Wheel Base
Wednesday AM Road Ride
This is a mid-week ride that starts at the Wheel Base bike shop in Frederick.

Wednesdays 6:15 pm B/C+ 20-30 Toppings Pizza Company
Lights & Pizza
Lights are required on this friendly, social ride. You will need a front headlight and rear taillight. We also recommend that you wear reflective clothing. Remember that the temperatures will be dropping throughout the ride, so dress appropriately. Pizza at Toppings Pizza Co. post-ride. When it is cold, we tend to do lots of hills to try to get warm. No one will be dropped.

Sundays 9:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry. Contact the shop in advance for more information.

New Year's Day Impromptu
OK, so technically it's not an impromptu ride if it's on the schedule - sheesh! Anyway, start your year right by riding every day! Keep an eye on the FPYG for further details and banal banter.

Jan 11 (Sun) 9:00 am C 40+/- Rose Hill Plaza
Bagel Rides XXIV
Bagel rides are back for this season. Don’t sit at home all winter - come on out for the Bagel Rides. The distance and hills will vary depending on the weather. Warm 40+, will be 40 miles and hilly. Colder less miles and less hills. After the ride lunch at the ZiPani Bagel store.

Jan 17 (Sat) 9:30 am C+ 38 & 52 Monocacy Middle School
Laura & Isaac's Birthday Rides
Join Isaac and Laura for a ride up north. There will be 2 options - 38 miles (Laura's age) and 52 miles (Isaac's age). Terrain will be rolling. Participants will be invited back to Laura's house after the ride for birthday cake and confessions regarding the ride leaders' real ages (seriously).

Jan 24 (Sat) 11:00 am C 28 Whittier Elementary School
A Quick Tour of Mountaindale - because it's
. . .deja vu all over again. Let's head out for a mid-winter spin through the peaceful backroads of Frederick County and thumb our frostbitten noses at the cold. There is only one shy little hill on Lenhart, but it will keep us warm and toasty. We shall ride as a group and no one's behind will be left. Yes, we did this route last year. The ride leader is full of holiday cookies and quite lazy.

Feb 14 (Sat) 9:51 am B- 51 Rose Hill Plaza
Taking The Long Way Around
Another year, another birthday ride. We'll go north, stop for a quick lunch somewhere warm, then take the long way back. Mileage reductions may be in effect if weather is less than cooperative. Expect an average pace near 15 mph.
