Luke's Pizza
Lights & Pizza
Lights are mandatory on this friendly, social ride; you’ll need a front white
headlight and a rear red taillight. If you possess a reflective vest and/or
clothing, wear them. Remember that the temperatures will be dropping
throughout the ride. Pizza and/or sandwiches at Luke’s after the ride. We
usually do some hills in order to stay warm. No one will be dropped.
Sundays 9:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks
into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes
if it is not too windy and the roads are dry. Start times vary during
the year based on shop hours so contact the shop in advance for more information.

Non-Recurring Rides
Nov 3 (Sat) 8:45 am C+ 60 Central Elementary School
Edgewater-Chesapeake Loop Ride
Come on down to Anne Arundel County for a refreshingly non-challenging metric century
ride along the Chesapeake Bay, through tobacco and horse country, and enjoy some breathtakingly
beautiful terrain, from deep forests, to lush tobacco and corn fields, to panoramic views
of the Chesapeake Bay, and historic farms and estates. This ride is a mix between a C+ and
B- pace, and will be done group style, leaving no one behind. The plan is for lunch in
Chesapeake Beach, MD, which is in Calvert County. For those who are interested, an
historic railroad museum is there, and should be of interest to any who would like to visit.
Nov 10 (Sat) 9:00 am C+ 20-40 Rose Hill Plaza
Bagel Rides XVIII
Bagel rides are back for this season. Don't sit at home all winter - come on out
for the Bagel Rides. The distance and hills will vary depending on the weather. Warm
40+, will be 40 miles and hilly. Colder less miles and less hills. After the ride
lunch at the ZiPani Bagel store.
Nov 17 (Sat) 8:00 am C 70 Catoctin High School
Piney Mountain Ride
Ride to Arendtsville and then up Piney Mountain. We will ride along the South Mountain
ridge and view Big Flat and the moundbuilder ants to Caledonia State Park to view the new
visitor center and Appalachain trail. After departing from Caledonia, we will climb to
the town of South Mountain and stop at the store. We will then descend to Buena Vista
16 and climb to a historic Blue Ridge Summit once again viewing a crossing of the
Appalachain trail. Passing the town of Casacades and one of the last remaining
Mason Dixon markers, we descend to Sabillasville, stock up on produce at the
orchard and finally Thurmont.
Dec 8 (Sat) 10:00 am D 19 Lewistown Elementary School
Loopy for Lewistown
We'll meander along the quiet country roads surrounding Lewistown. It's not
flat, but there are no long hills. One planned rest stop approximately half-way
through the ride, and we'll stop as desired by the group. We will ride as a
group and no one will be left behind. No go in rain or plate tectonic shifts.
