Weekday & Evening Rides

Mondays 6:00 pm B 25-35 Bechtel
Bechtel Rides
The rides leave from the Bechtel parking lot (along the woods) at 5275 Westview Drive (off Crestwood close to Rt. 85) at 6:00 PM. Bring lights (front and rear); a couple of hills, no one left behind.

Wednesdays 9:00 am B+ 35-50 Wheel Base
Wednesday AM Road Ride
This is a mid-week ride that starts at the Wheel Base bike shop in Frederick.

Wednesdays 6:15 pm B 25-30 Luke's Pizza
Lights & Pizza
Lights are mandatory on this friendly, social ride; you'll need a front white headlight and a red rear taillight. If you possess a reflective vest and/or clothing, wear them. Remember that the temps will be dropping throughout the ride. Pizza and/or sandwiches at Luke's after the ride. We usually do lots of hills in order to stay warm. No one will be dropped.

New Year's Day Ride
Start the new year out right by participating in your favorite activity. No, it is not making fun of Katie Couric's hair at the Rose Bowl Parade. We're talking bike ride baby! Come out in the middle of Winter for this life-affirming ride and keep at least one New Year’s resolution to ride your bike in 2007. Watch the Frederick Pedalers Yahoo! Group for more info. Jan 20 (Sat) 9:00 am B 45 Monocacy Middle School
Laura's Birthday Ride
We will likely head north towards Emmitsburg for a total of about 45 miles, or some random mileage approximating the ride leader's age - whichever comes first. Expect rolling terrain and a pace of 14-15 mph.

Jan 27 (Sat) 9:00 am C+ 20-40 Rose Hill Plaza
Bagel Rides XVII
Bagel rides are back for this season. Don't sit at home all winter - come on out for the Bagel Rides. The distance and hills will vary depending on the weather. Warm 40+, will be 40 miles and hilly. Colder less miles and less hills. After the ride lunch at the ZiPani Bagel store.

Jan 28 (Sun) 11:00 am D 19 Lewistown Elementary School
Loopy For Lewistown
We'll meander along the quiet country roads surrounding Lewistown. It's not flat, but there are no long hills. One planned rest stop approximately half-way through the ride, and we'll stop as desired by the group. We will ride as a group and no one will be left behind.

Feb 17 (Sat) 9:15 am B 49 Silo Hill Parkway - Emmitsburg
Bill's Birthday Perfect Square Ride
Join Bill as he moves another year closer to AARP eligibility and continues his relentless journey toward 1,000,000 miles. He won't make it this year, but he's getting closer every decade. The ride will likely head toward oblivion, making a last minute turn somewhere between fatigue and exhaustion.

Feb 24 (Sat) 9:00 am C+ 20-40 Rose Hill Plaza

Sundays 8:00 or 9:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry. Start times vary during the year based on shop hours so contact the shop in advance for more information.
