Weekday & Evening Rides

Mondays 6:00 pm B 25-35 Bechtel
Bechtel Rides
The rides leave from the Bechtel parking lot (along the woods) at 5275 Westview Drive (off Crestwood close to Rt. 85) at 6:00 PM. Bring lights (front and rear); a couple of hills, no one left behind.

Wednesdays 9:00 am B+ 35-50 Wheel Base
Wednesday AM Road Ride
This is a mid-week ride that starts at the Wheel Base bike shop in Frederick.

Wednesdays 6:15 pm B 25-30 Luke's Pizza
Lights & Pizza
Lights are mandatory on this friendly, social ride; you'll need a front white headlight and a red rear taillight. If you possess a reflective vest and/or clothing, wear them. Remember that the temps will be dropping throughout the ride. Pizza and/or sandwiches at Luke's after the ride. We usually do lots of hills in order to stay warm. No one will be dropped.

Weekend Rides

Oct 7 (Sat) 9:00 am C 35 Lewistown Elementary School
Easy Covered Bridges
Want to ride through all three covered bridges, but not take all day to do it? Then this is your ride. We'll go at an easy pace as we tour Frederick County's historic covered bridges with a rest stop in Emmistburg. No go in rain or glaciers.

Oct 14 (Sat) 8:00 am All Bethel E.L. Church
Adopt-A-Road Pickup
Join us for the final trash pickup of 2006 as we remember all the fine junk we've seen this year and search for that one great find that will keep everyone talking throughout the winter. It's always a fun time and Bill 'Dough Boy' Smith usually brings yummy bagels from Panera.

Meet us around 8:00 am the Bethel E.L. Church at the corner of Opossumtown Pike and Mountaindale Road. Long pants, a long sleve shirt, sturdy shoes and work gloves are recommended.

Oct 28 (Sat) 9:00 am C+/B- 60 Catoctin High School
Michaux Bound
Hopefully the trees will still have some color for this scenic ride. We will have lunch at Caledonia State Park, so either pack a lunch or buy one at a nearby store and tote to the park. There are some hills, but everyone is still in shape from Summer riding - right?

Sundays 8:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry.
