This is a mid-week ride that starts at the Wheel Base bike shop in Frederick.
Contact the shop in advance for more information.

Wednesdays 6:15 pm C 20-25 Glade Elementary School
The Glade Brigade

No, this isn't a new squadron of air freshener combat troops. It's an easy mid-week spin where new riders are welcome as this is a social ride and also a recovery ride for those who choose to push harder on Monday and Tuesday nights. No one will be left behind. Usually no go in rain and ride leader duties will alternate through the season so some weeks may be impromptu.

Thursdays 6:00 pm B 25-35 Bechtel
Bechtel Rides

The rides leave from the Bechtel parking lot (along the woods) at 5275 Westview Drive (off Crestwood close to Rt. 85) at 6:00 PM. Bring lights (front and rear) as we may still ride into the night. A couple of hills, no one left behind.

Weekend Rides

July 2 (Sun) 9:00 am and 10:30 am ** B/C and D ** 35 and 12
Chateau Rouselle-Wicks
Picnic Rides

Join us for either a 12 mile D ride beginning at 10:30 am or a 35 mile B/C ride beginning at 9:00 am - before the club picnic. Details can be found in the July newsletter or by inquiring to clubmail@frederickpedalers.org

July 15 (Sat) 6:05 am B 63 Monocacy Middle School
Hagerstown-Smithsburg-Thurmont

Similar, but not exactly the same as last year's ride. We'll head out MD 40 into Hagerstown, then up to Smithsburg, then over the mountain to Thurmont and then back to Frederick. This is a hilly ride — the climbs are long, but so are the descents.

July 16 (Sun) 9:00 am D 18 Lewistown Elementary School
Loopy for Lewistown BBQ & By-King Rest Stop Grand Opening

Bring your extra stomach for this special edition of Loopy for Lewistown as all are welcome to attend the Lewistown Ruritan BBQ after the ride. (Bring $$) We'll do our best to work up an appetite as we meander along the quiet country roads surrounding Lewistown. It's not flat, but there are no long hills. We will be stopping at the newly opened By-King Rest Stop on Utica Road to assess the proprietor's efforts. One additional rest stop approximately half-way through the ride, and we'll also stop as desired by the group. We will ride as a group and no one will be left behind.

July 22 (Sat) 7:00 am C/C+ 66 Glade Elementary School
'Get' Ride

Come on out for this ride which will travel through Gettysburg, Emmitsburg and Thurmont. Potential stops at 17, 28, 35 and 55 miles. Early start to beat the heat.

Jul 23 (Sun) 9:00 am C 28 Lewistown Elementary School
Easy Covered Bridges

Want to ride through all three covered bridges, but not take all day to do it? Then this is your ride. We'll go at an easy pace as we tour Frederick County's historic covered bridges. We will ride as a group and no one will be left behind.

Jul 29 (Sat) 6:30 am B 65/75 Monocacy Middle School
Laura's Suprise Ride Redux

If the ride is closer to 65, there will most likely be one major climb. If 75, then terrain will be rolling. Expect a pace of 13-15 mph.

Aug 6 (Sun) 8:30 am C+/B 50 Loy's Station Park
Fifty on Fifty

In honor of the ride leader's newfound eligibility for AARP, he will lead this one-time only gala event. The ride will head north from Loy's Station into Pennsylvania and then (if all goes well) return. There will be a few hills, but no killers. The route is not finalized but it will be at least 50 miles with a rest stop somewhere in the middle.

Sundays 8:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride

The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry.
Contact the shop in advance for more information.
