Weekday & Evening Rides

Bechtel Redux
Ride with the Bechtel crew from Glade if you prefer a more civilized ride on Tuesday evenings.

Wednesdays 9:00 am B+ 35-50 Wheel Base
Wednesday AM Road Ride
This is a mid-week ride that starts at the Wheel Base bike shop in Frederick.

Wednesdays 6:15 pm C 20-25 Glade Elementary School
The Glade Brigade

Note: Later start time beginning this month

No, this isn't a new squadron of air freshener combat troops. It's an easy mid-week spin where new riders are welcome as this is a social ride and also a recovery ride for those who choose to push harder on Monday and Tuesday nights. No one will be left behind. Usually no go in rain and ride leader duties will alternate through the season so some weeks may be impromptu.

Thursdays 6:00 pm B 25-35 Bechtel
Bechtel Rides
The rides leave from the Bechtel parking lot (along the woods) at 5275 Westview Drive (off Crestwood close to Rt. 85) at 6:00 PM. Bring lights (front and rear) as we may still ride into the night. A couple of hills, no one left behind.

Weekend Rides

June 3 (Sat) 6:00 am B 75 Monocacy Middle School
Laura's Suprise Ride
Leader is offering this ride as part of her preparation for a century ride she is doing the following week. She has no idea yet what the route will be so she is simply making it a surprise ride (as if all her rides are not already). If the ride is closer to 65 miles, there will most likely be one major climb. If closer to 75, the terrain will be rolling.

June 10 (Sat) 9:00 am C+/B- 41/52/64 Libertytown Park
Three Unions and a Windsor
We’ll have cue sheets for all three distances so people can pick the route they prefer. Expect the leaders’ pace to be between 13-15 mph.

June 11 (Sun) 9:30 am D 18 Lewistown Elementary School
Loopy for Lewistown
We’ll meander along the quiet country roads surrounding Lewistown. It’s not flat, but there are no long hills. One planned rest stop approximately half-way through the ride, and we’ll stop as desired by the group. We will ride as a group and no one will be left behind.

Jun 24 (Sat) 9:30 am C 35 Lewistown Elementary School
Easy Covered Bridges
Want to see the covered bridges, but not take all day to do it? Then this is your ride. We’ll go at an easy pace as we tour Frederick County’s historic covered bridges. We will ride as a group and no one will be left behind.

Sundays 8:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry.
