** Note - this ride replaces the regular Wednesday Night Ride for May 17 **

Join us as we raise cycling awareness during Bike Safety Month and honor those cyclists who have been killed or injured on our nation's roads. This 10 mile ride will proceed in silent memorial at no more than 12 mph through the streets of downtown Frederick obeying all laws and traffic controls to demonstrate cyclists intent to safely share the road with other vehicles.

Wednesdays 6:00 pm C 20-25 Glade Elementary School
The Glade Brigade

** Note - there will be no ride from Glade on May 17th - See Ride of Silence above **

No, this isn't a new squadron of air freshener combat troops. It's an easy mid-week spin where new riders are welcome as this is a social ride and also a recovery ride for those who choose to push harder on Monday and Tuesday nights. No one will be left behind. Usually no go in rain and ride leader duties will alternate through the season so some weeks may be impromptu.

Thursdays 6:00 pm B 25-35 Bechtel
Bechtel Rides

The rides leave from the Bechtel parking lot (along the woods) at 5275 Westview Drive (off Crestwood close to Rt. 85) at 6:00 PM. Bring lights (front and rear) as we may still ride into the night. A couple of hills, no one left behind.

Weekend Rides

May 6 (Sat) 7:00 am B 75 Monocacy Middle School
Easy Way to Gettysburg

Although the terrain is rolling, the only easier way to Gettysburg is by car.

May 7 (Sun) 8:00 am C 66 Emmitsburg
Apple Blossom Ride

We will ride around Adams County to view Apple Blossoms. Lunch in Arendtsville. Shorter option available. To get to the ride start take US 15 North to 140 West into Emittsburg. Right at the first traffic light onto Silo Hill Road. Take the next right and park on the road that goes back to the hotel.

May 13 (Sat) 8:00 am All Bethel E.L. Church
Adopt-A-Road Pickup

Come out and get trashed with the Frederick Pedalers as we do our part to keep FredCo beautiful by picking up trash along Bethel Road between Opossumtown Pike and Mountaindale Road. It's always a fun time and Bill 'Dough Boy' Smith usually brings yummy bagels from Panera.

Meet us around 8:00 am the Bethel E.L. Church at the corner of Opossumtown Pike and Mountaindale Road.

Long pants, a long sleve shirt, sturdy shoes and work gloves are recommended.

May 20 (Sat) 9:30 am D 20 Lewistown Elementary School
Loopy for Lewistown

The epic journey that changed the ride leader's life is back for 2006. We'll meander along the quiet country roads surrounding Lewistown. It's not flat, but there are no long hills. One planned rest stop approximately half-way through the ride, and we'll stop as desired by the group. We will ride as a group and no one will be left behind.

May 27 (Sat) 9:00 am C+ 40 Point of Rocks Boat Ramp (VA Side)
Waterford

Meet at the boat launch on the Virginia side for a ride to Waterford.

May 28 (Sun) 8:30 am B/C 45-50 Whittier Elementary School
Approximately a Straight Shot to Emmitsburg

Back by popular demand for the ninth consecutive year! Over rolling terrain, this is an easy ride unless a strong wind is blowing. Lunch in Emmitsburg, enjoy the scenery from The Mount.

Sundays 8:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride

The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry.
Contact the shop in advance for more information.
