Weekday and Evening Rides

Apr 15 (Fri) 8:30 am B 100 Thurmont Food Lion
Spring Century
Breaking from past tradition, this year's spring century will be a bit hilly as we leave Thurmont to visit Chewsville, Leitersburg (PA), New Franklin and Gettysburg before heading back to Thurmont.

Tuesdays 6:00 pm B Bechtel
Bechtel Rides
The rides leave from the Bechtel parking lot (along the woods) at 5275 Westview Drive (off Crestwood close to Rt. 85) at 6:00 PM. Mileage will depend on available daylight (tail light recommended), speed will be category B/B+ with a couple of hills, no one left behind.

Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00 pm B 25-35 Glade Elementary School
Tuesday/Thursday Road Ride
The racers are starting from here, so don’t get confused. We’re easy to tell apart — they’re looking at the finish line, we’re looking at the waist line. Expect a pace of about 15-17 mph. Impromptu.

Wednesdays 6:00 pm C 20-25 Glade Elementary School
The Glide from Glade
The ride title says it all! We’ll go at a very easy pace. New riders are welcome, as this will be a social ride and also a recovery ride for those who choose to push harder on Monday and Tuesday nights. No one will be left behind. Usually no go in rain and ride leader duties will alternate through the season. The first Wednesday ride on April 6th will be impromptu but there will be ride leaders beginning the following Wednesday on April 13th.

Wednesday AM Road Ride
This is a mid-week ride that starts at Wheelbase Bicycles in Frederick. Call the bike shop in advance for more information. Wheel Base: 301-663-9288.

Apple Blossoms
Join us for a scenic ride along the Apple Blossom circuit in Adams County, PA. Shorter option is included. Breakfast stop at mile 10.

Apr 24 (Sun) 9:00 am B/C 45-50 Whittier Elementary School
Almost a Straight Shot To Emmitsburg
Back by popular demand for the 8th straight year, this ride freatures rolling terrain with one significant hill, and the option of a second significant hill. Easy ride, unless the wind is strong. Scheduled lunch stop in Emmitsburg.

Thurmont MTO
An easy pace to Thurmont for lunch at the Sheetz on Church Street.

Every Sunday 9:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry. Wheel Base: 301-663-9288.
