Evening Rides

Wednesdays 6:15 pm B 25-30 Luke's Pizza
Lights, Pizza & Train Spotting
Expect us to stay in the flats through the month of October and November to allow the good Dr. Borkman to heal from his early September crash. Lights are mandatory; you’ll need a front white headlight and a rear taillight. If you possess a reflective vest and arm/leg bands, use them. Remember that temps will be dropping throughout the ride. Pizza or sandwiches at Luke’s at ride’s end.

Weekday and Weekend Rides

Wednesday AM Road Ride
This is a mid-week ride that starts at Wheel Base Bicycles in Frederick. Call the bike shop in advance for more information. Wheel Base: 301-663-9288.

Sundays 9:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry. Wheelbase: 301-663-9288.

November 26 (Fri) 9:30 am B+ 52 Myersville Park & Ride
Washington County Exploring
Come explore a great Ken Sanford ride that winds about the scenic roads in eastern Washington County. Two South Mountain climbs, although neither are steep, nevertheless consider this ride to be a hilly one. This ride will wear off the Thanksgiving Turkey and send you home for seconds. No go in rain.

November 27 (Sat) 9:00 am C+ 20-40 Rose Hill Plaza
Bagel Rides IX
'Ride The Bagel' rides are back for this winter. Don't sit at home all winter - come on out for the Bagel Rides. The distance and hills will vary depending on the weather. Warm 40+, will be 40 miles and hilly. Colder less miles and less hills. After the ride lunch at the ZiPani Bagel store.

Breakfast Rides
Depending upon the weather and such, we’ll schedule some impromptu breakfast rides this November and December. We’ll try to visit the Thurmont Kountry Kitchen, the Towne Restaurant in Woodsboro and the Taneytown Country Kitchen. Have a place you want to go? Let us know and we’ll go there, too.
