2006 Bike to Work Day
May 19th was the 2006 edition of Bike to Work Day. A gaggle of
Frederick Pedalers met at City Hall to join some local government
officials for a leisurely ride over to the East Street MARC station
for the Frederick pitstop sponsored by Frederick County TransIT Services.
From City Hall, we head down Church Street
We had our very own police escort by one of Frederick City's finest.
Ten hours a day on the bike? You know he could drop you in half a heartbeat...
A very orderly and polite single-file procession
Bill Pfeil, Jim Gugel, Bill Smith and Fred Abeles
Well - not everyone was single file, but there were two lanes so it's OK
Alderman Marcia Hall and City Planner Tim Davis
Ah - the life of leisure for a rolling couch potato
Ann Abeles, Jerry Quance and Alice King
Yummy treats and great cycling information at the pitstop rally.

for Frederick County.

Holy smokes - a BikeE ! That's a collector's item now !!
