The Easy Way to Gettysburg
Ride leader Laura Chaffiotte dusts off her 20th century cue sheet May 6th, 2006 for
another ride up to Gettysburg. Like the saying goes - the only easier
way to Gettysburg is by car.
Leader Laura Chaffiotte and unsuspecting rider Jeff Johnson prepare
to depart bright and early from Monocacy Middle School
John Johnson rode in 37 miles from Mercersburg, PA to meet us at Tom's Creek
No autographs please. I'm just a humble ultra-marathoner . . .
Did you know that Native Americans were instrumental in
designing and building the space shuttle ?
No, we did not know that.
We must have been out sick that day at cow school.
Sneaking across the border into Pennsylvania without a passport
Stopping for a snack at a downtown Gettysburg bodega
Rolling up to the Roddy Road Covered Bridge on the way home
Nothing but mile after mile of beautiful countryside.
Our lives are so dreadful . . .
