Outdoors Maryland Covered Bridges Feature

The Outdoors Maryland Covered Bridges feature aired in late February. Members of the Frederick Pedalers were seen as extras in several shots riding through the Loy's Station and Utica covered bridges.

The feature was very well done and we encourage anyone interested in covered bridge history to watch a re-air of the show coming up in March:

Tuesday, March 21, 2006 07:30 PM
Saturday, March 25, 2006 05:30 AM
Saturday, March 25, 2006 05:30 PM

You can view the full Outdoors Maryland schedule here:

Copies of the feature will be available at the Frederick Pedalers Annual Meeting March 11th on CD in Windows Media format (.wmv)

Scamp 'n' Rascal

A new bicycle touring company called Scamp 'n' Rascal has opened up shop in nearby Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. They currently have three different tours on the schedule for 2006 and hope to add more in the future. Their web site states that they organize tours for "riders who love the intimacy of travel by bike and appreciate the creature comforts of better lodging when the day is done." They go on to say that the routes are challenging but not too hard for any fit cyclist and that the rides average 50 miles per day. See their web site for more information at http://www.scampnrascal.com

Frederick Pedalers in the News

Our illustrious Club President Bill Smith and his merry band of winter pizza crazies were featured in a recent Frederick News Post article you can read here.
