Send it to us at clubmail@frederickpedalers.org Frederick Pedalers 2006 Annual Meeting The Annual Meeting and Elections will be held on Saturday March 11 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the Talley Recreation Center at Bentz & Second Street in Frederick. The club will provide the usual drinks, cups, plates, plastic ware, etc. Food will be provided however if you are so inclined, please bring a dish to share.
On the agenda: Bicycle Safety Rodeo Appalachian Trail District Cub Scout Pack 278 is sponsoring a bicycle safety rodeo on Saturday March 25th in the Best Buy parking lot adjascent to Guilford Drive and Industry Lane in Frederick.Frederick Pedalers members will be helping out with the bicycle and helmet inspection station to ensure participants have properly fitting helmets and safely functioning bicycles. They currently have three different tours on the schedule for 2006 and hope to add more in the future. Their web site states that they organize tours for "riders who love the intimacy of travel by bike and appreciate the creature comforts of better lodging when the day is done." They go on to say that the routes are challenging but not too hard for any fit cyclist and that the rides average 50 miles per day.
